Honorable Abbas Tajudeen, Speaker of the House of Representatives, has condemned yet another bandit mass abduction of students in Sokoto State.

The abduction occurred one week after two others occurred in the states of Borno and Kaduna, both of which were strongly condemned by the Speaker.

Abbas stated that no Nigerian should be in captivity, as stated in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Krishi. He also urged the military and other security agencies to pursue the abductors and rescue the victims.

“At a time when the government is doing its part to address the high rate of out-of-school children, we must unite in our determination to stop the abduction of women and children in particular.”

“We must ensure the safety of our children in the schools.” “Our security agencies must act immediately,” Abbas stated.

On Saturday, an Islamic school in Gidan Bakuso, Gada Local Government Area, Sokoto State, reportedly abducted approximately fifteen students.
